Stephanie Hope Lawlor is an actor, singer, theatre creator and teaching artist.
Growing up a (very, very) shy child, Stephanie discovered her love of theatre while sitting in the audience. Before long, she was studying acting in Lou Zamprogna's Performing Arts Programme in Hamilton, Ontario. After immersing herself in singing, dancing, and acting classes, she graduated from McMaster University and went on to study at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts (now Randolph College for the Performing Arts), where she was nominated for the coveted Triple Threat Award upon graduation.
She has performed across Ontario in musicals and plays, some of her favourites including Mary/Flowers in Mary's Wedding, Young Leda in Provenance, and Liesl in The Sound of Music. She loves participating in workshops and reading for new works.
Currently, she lives in Hamilton, where she teaches at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, co-runs The Actor's Forge, and is the Artistic Director of independent theatre company Rook's Theatre.
In her downtime, Stephanie loves baking, watching YouTube videos about ballet, and coffee shop hopping as she tries to find the best oat milk cappuccino in the city (pictured above: Salty Espresso).
